visited Cossack, Western Australia, recently and took the opportunity to photograph the graves in the cemetery there.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to the Japanese section of the cemetery, so the photos are only of the European section.  I did take at least one photo of every grave I could see.

I have larger versions of these photographs, some of them giving wider location context.  If you would like a copy of one of these, please comment and let me know.

I took a lot of photos, so I’ll be posting them a few at a time as a series.

You can see the other posts in this series by selecting the ‘Cemeteries’ category on the right.

Morgan Sanders Perth

William James Martin may have been a son of Ebenezer Martin and Ann Jane McClean (also Ebanezer Martin and Ann Jane McClain).

Ebenezer and Ann appear not to have married in Western Australia, but had a number of children in various places:

William James born 1858 York (1858/4317)

Anna born 1861 York (1861/5622)

Ebenezer born 1862 Newcastle (1862/6811)

Samuel Henry born 1865 Guildford (1865/8423)

Madeline born 1872 Toodyay (1872/14154)

Adelaide Mary born 1877 Roebourne (1877/18269)

William James Martin may have married in Western Australia – there are a number of Williams, and a number of William J’s in the marriage index.
